Teach me Sir.
Please tell me what you know i shall tell you what is beyond
I know objects (books, rites, numbers, grammar, time, logic, ethics, weapons....
But Sir with all this i know the letters only, the sacred books. I do not know the Self. I have heard from man like you that he who knows the Self overcomes grief.
Whatever you have read is only a name. All this are names only.
Sir is there anything better than the name?
Speech is better than the name. Speech makes us understand the objects.
Sir is there anything better than the Speech?
Mind is better than Speech. Mind holds Speech and Name.
Sir is there something better than Mind?
Will is better than Mind. For when a man wills then he thinks in his Mind, then he sends forth speech and he sends forth in a name.
Sir is there something better than the will?
Awareness is better than will, when a man is aware then he wills, then he thinks in his mind, then he sends forth speech and name. If a man is unaware, even if he possesses much knowledge, people say of him, he is nothing. He a man is aware people listen to him.
Is there something better than awareness?
Contemplation is better than awareness those who among man obtain greatness seems to be obtained a part of object of contemplation a certain repose of manner.
Is there something better than contemplation?
Understanding - knowledge is better than contemplation, through understanding we know objects, we know the world through understanding.
Is there something better than understanding?
Power is better than Understanding. If a man is powerful he becomes a rising man, if he rises he become a man who serves a wise people.
Sir is there anything better than power?
The Spirit is better than power. The Spirit moves the spirit. Spirit then is all this.
But in reality only he excels who speak from having realized the truth. When one understand the truth then one speaks the truth. For this understanding, however, we must desire. When one reflects then one understands.
The infinite is joy. There is no joy in anything finite.
Where one sees nothing else, hears nothing else, understands nothing else, that is the infinite.
